Fancy a bit of Regency Romance?

If you and your significant other would like to have a romantic Regency getaway with a taste of Becoming Jane, you can pop into the Classic Travel website where they offer two people (I suppose, that's a couple then!) chances to go to New York for BJ Premiere, or to London for a few days tour to Jane Austen's Museum House in Chawton.

The NY package includes 2 tickets to the Private Screening, 2 access passes to the after-party on the Terrace, 1-night's accomodations in a Bowery Suite at the Bowery Hotel, and breakfast for two the following morning. The London package includes a romantic getaway to the posh Brown's Hotel that includes a one-day Storyline Journeys excursion to the home of Jane Austen. If any of you decides to have a go, pray let us know what becomes of it? I shall be delighted to hear your stories.

But if you do not have enough budget or time for that, you might just ask your Guardian Angel to become Courtney Stone, a 21st century broken-hearted girl who suddenly wakes up in another woman's body in England during the Regency time. How she copes with the archaic living conditions, chaperones and admirers? Just buy (or ask your friend to buy) Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict by Laura V. Rigler in Amazon or Barnes & Nobles, or threaten your significant other that if he (I suppose, that will be he...) does not want to buy you the book, you will transport yourself to the Regency Period!

Pic1: a new BJ shot from Yahoo Movie when Jane Austen (Anne Hathaway) and Tom Lefroy (James McAvoy) kissed in Lady Gresham's rose garden. Thanks to Kari for the link! To my limited memory, it was not raining when the kissed... Gosh! Should I go to the US just to see the rain kiss?!
