Emma 2-4 and the DVD!

For those who are unlucky enough to be stationed at the other side of the pond (or at a totally different pond like myself), YouTube has the episodes 2, 3, and 4 of Emma 2009! I've watched ep 2 and 3, and I shall go home impatiently to watch ep 4 soon!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand! The Emma 2009 DVD will be available on 30 November 2009 through Amazon.co.uk for GBP 15.98, so you better pre-order it now! I will do that soon too!

I'm loving this Emma!

Update 2 Nov09:
I have to delete the links and embedded links because it might be considered as infringement (though of course it is not the purpose!). I hope ladies and gents are successful in navigating the YouTube!

Any reason Mondrudru didn't upload ep1?? I would love to watch it via Youtube, but I hate coming into a movie that's already started!

Because Cat4fab has uploaded ep 1 here:

Audio in Ep 4 in Mondrudru's site does not really fit with the video; guess it's a tech probs. Hope she will fix it soon. Better watch it sooner, cos she will delete it after a while.

I've finished watching episode 2. In Episode 1 I thought Romola Garai's portrayal rather flat compared to Paltrow & Beckinsale, but her performance is growing on me. Miniseries have a definite advantage in time over theatrical movies; I'm hoping they spend some time filling in the relationship of Jane Fairfax & Frank Churchill.

Time to confess: it took me a while to warm up to this Mr Knightley, but after Ep2 I couldn't resist any longer to his charms. The ball scene -the loveliest dance of all JA adaptations I've seen so far, and the proposal were played so wonderfully by both actors. Oh, and I absolutely adore JLM at the end when he says: "Now, my heart is here ...and what does it matter where I live, if my heart is in the right place?" It was very well done, indeed! I think this Emma is one of the best costume dramas BBC produced in a while. The last one that gave me this much enjoyment was North and South -no surprise they were produced by the same writer (Sandy Welch) I Love it so much that I can’t wait another few months to get the DVD, so for the first time, I’ll just pre-order at amazon.uk and pay a few more $$ to have it in my collection at the end of this month ...here here, I confess Icha dearest, this was also an excuse to get some other DVDs I have no patience waiting to watch until next year: Spooks S7 and also Sparkhouse, Marie Lloyd ;) movies I’ll never be able to order from amazon.ca

Big Hugs

Ha! Haha! Hahaha!

Gotcha, Mariana! JLM IS amazing as Knightley. And he and Garai have great chemistry together!

Don't get me wrong; am still in love head over heel with Richard... sigh... but RA might have to wait for a few years before becoming an Austen hero...

I liked it. very much. I think that RA would make an excellent Knightley, but good comes to those who wait, right?

I am a very big fan of Jane Austen. I just couldnt wait for BBC's Emma to start but it has started and finished already and the DVD is not available until the end of the month Arrrgggg (im feeling the same too). I just cant wait for the next BBC costume drama to start. There just should be more costume dramas on the TV, dont you all agree. http://camcreations1.blogspot.com/

Indeed! Well, it's another 3 weeks to go, so if you preorder the DVD now, it should arrive pretty quickly at your place.
