Anyway, I think they all must be very pleased with BAFTA noms and the fact that Atonement received the Golden Globe.

Dearest Icha, I’ve already seen S4 10 on DVD. After ‘discovering’ James in Becoming Jane, I started to look for him in every movie : -)) and happily found the same charming, talented and extremely “pleasant young man, I assure you”. I must confess that although I liked him in other movies, with the role of Tom Lefroy, he will always have a special place in my heart.

James participated in a Roundtable Oscars discussion alongside other stars. I loved this Catherine (Felicity Jones) very much; it was a good choice but I’m not too sure about Mr. Henry Tilney. He looked too old for the role and I was feeling like there is no chemistry between them. It felt more like an affection of the older brother for his young sister. Anyway, it was a good adaptation and as expected, Andrew Davies did not disappoint me.

I know Team Jane will like this ‘coincidence’ so I have to mention that Catherine’s house is the same one used as Jane’s house in ‘Becoming Jane’: -) I’m pretty sure that I’m not mistaken.
More amazing for me is the fact that first I’ve recognized the gate… just one very short image, seeing Catherine standing in front of the gate when she returned home alone from her journey, it was enough to bring back another ‘memorable’ image: Jane returning home also alone from her tentative elopement with Tom Lefroy.

Have anyone else seen this new adaptation yet?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129024732653900038.post-76936508771315374492008-01-20T03:17:00.000+08:002008-01-20T03:17:00.000+08:00I am currently finishing Emma, again, and have a f...I am currently finishing Emma, again, and have a few choices of reading.
